What's really
holding you back?

You probably don't have a knowledge problem.

You know strategies. You know your numbers. You know which decisions have been waiting.

So why aren't you doing it — or why isn't it working anyway?

100 mögliche Baustellen

Mehr Strategie ist nicht immer die Lösung.

Du könntest an allem arbeiten. Oder herausfinden, wo der Hebel liegt.

Angebot. Preis. Markt. Positionierung. Botschaft. Sales. Team. Timing. Fokus. Risiko. Geld. Selbstbild. Sichtbarkeit. Ein alter Misserfolg. Ein Geschäftspartner. Oder etwas, auf das du nie gekommen wärst.

Test now
  • “It isn't my strategy.” — it is an unconscious loyalty.
  • “It isn't visibility.” — it is the fear of being judged.
  • “It isn't the market.” — it is my positioning.
  • “It isn't the team.” — it is a decision I am not making.
  • “It isn't the offer.” — it is an old failure.
  • “It isn't the money.” — it is my safety with it.

The leverage principle

Success is complex.
The next lever doesn't have to be.

Not the next strategy. The right point.

Check a few inner statements against your conscious goal. Notice your reaction; these are questions to explore, not affirmations.

Beliefs are one possible layer. LEVERAGE searches much further.

BUSINESS / STRATEGY

The strategy wasn't the problem.

Starting point
A founder had a profitable business, several plausible paths for growth — and had been circling the same decision for months.
The obvious approach
More data. More strategy. Another scenario.
Where we began
The decision was tied to an old role. Growth did not only mean opportunity. It also meant letting go of an identity and responsibilities that had provided security for years.
Sequence
Role → loyalty → decision → strategy
What changed afterwards
Once that attachment stopped driving the strategic question, months of complexity became a clear decision. Only then could strategy become strategy again — rather than an attempt to solve an internal conflict with more thinking.

Before your next strategy.

What if my strategy is not the problem?

Then another strategy may simply create more activity. Your offer, market, positioning, message, price, decisions, people, timing or something outside the business could belong in the search. Narrow down first; optimise second.

Why do I know what to do but still not do it?

Knowing and acting are different things. Many factors can sit between a good decision and putting it into practice. Instead of accepting the first explanation, look more closely at what is relevant in your situation.

Could the lever be outside my business?

Yes. A business topic need not originate entirely inside the business. A person, a private dynamic, a place, an unresolved decision or a personal pattern can be considered as a possibility.

How do I know what not to work on right now?

Not every plausible issue needs to become a task. Instead of asking what you could improve, ask what matters to your actual goal right now. The rest can wait.
